Reason #498 why I am a dork
I play poxnora: Poxnora
Poxnora is an online trading card game that you can play online against other players around the world. It is pretty much like Magic The Gathering: Online; and pretty much just like every other trading card game, it is completely additictive to dorks like me.
When playing, you manage one of six "factions" to build your deck (also called a "battlegroup" in the poxnora vernacular)...
Using your "battlegroup" you do battle on one of a myriad of maps that the system generates for you to play your match on...
And when the battle is all done, your cards (termed "runes" in poxnora-speak) are awarded experience points depending on how well you did in the battle ... these experience points can be used by you to upgrade your "runes" with new attributes and abilities, thus making your "battlegroup" more deadly in battle.
And yes, I am totally addicted to this game and still an utter and total dork.
My beautiful wife
Holly just had her birthday on Saturday. It was a great day spent at the lake.
hmmm...forgot to bring a camera though ... so no pics.
While we were there, my wife bent over to do check a leak on her raft and I guy on the beach yelled, "damn, check out that @$$!" ... His friends seemed to agree that Holly does have a nice @$$ ... Although one of the girls with them did not seem to appreciate the comment much.
Its kinda funny in a way...for about the last two weeks various anonymous guys have been checking out and flirting with my wife. She says that she has no idea why.
Well ... lets see ... long flowing blond hair ... nice tan ... great curves ... It is not a big mystery to me. :)
She asked me what I thought about guys flirting with her and such. Oh, I don't mind. I knew that when I got married I "outkicked my coverage" if you know what I mean. It makes me happy to know that my wife is still found attractive by other men and that it makes my wife feel good, in a way.
NOW, if she decided to go runn ing off with one of them, all bets are off! But, I am not too worried about that. ;)
Muay Thai
So, I have been taking Muay Thai for a month now...
This is Muay Thai if you don't know:
I have always enjoyed martial arts, especially the more physical types. I figured that if I could last a few months in Muay Thai I would either be in great shape or dead.
I am not sure whats going to happen yet. I am getting in better shape, but I am also getting the hell beat out of me. I am about 155 soaking wet and at least 30 pounds lighter than any other guy in the class. Needless to say, I am getting the crap kicked out of me and I hurt all over.
No pain, no gain I guess they say...I am beginning to wonder if the guy that said that was a nut. I will give it another month or two...but at my age and physical condition, I cannot keep taking such beatings from 200 pound guys that are 10 years younger than me.
